A Call To Embrace The Good Life
By Gregory John Wilson
Greetings, My Fellow Man,
I, Greg Wilson, appeal to you today - to sharpen your conscience, to guide you toward the One who is love, whose righteous laws are in accordance with love.
Look at the trees, the birds, the sunset, the clouds, and know that there is a Creator, and He has set forth good laws for man when He gave His law on Mount Sinai - starting with the 10 commandments:
- Worship the true God and have no other Gods
- Have no idols
- Don't take God's name in vain
- Rest on the Sabbath (a gift!)
- Honor your father and mother
- Don't murder
- Don't commit adultery
- Don't steal
- Don't bear false witness
- Don't covet
These are in accordance with loving Yahweh (a pronunciation of God's personal name) with all you are and loving your neighbor as yourself, the two great commandments that the rest of the whole Law hangs on, according to the New Testament.
Yet we have not chosen the way of love in our lives. We have lived for self instead and our hearts have become hardened.
So hear the Master's call today - calling you to tenderize your heart and return to His loving laws - to turn away from sin. Romans 7:7 in the New Testament says the Law defines what sin is. So the goal is to keep the Law as it applies in our personal lives, after we have drawn near to the Father and entered into a loving relationship with Him.
But just how will Yahweh reconcile us to Himself since we have sinned and the wages of sin is death?
He has given His son Yeshua (Jesus) - a Jew - who has become sin for us so we can become the righteousness of Elohim (God as it appears on the Hebrew scriptures beginning with Genesis 1:1) - 2 Corinthians 5:21. He suffered for our sin so we can be forgiven and not go to the lake of fire, as Revelation surely speaks of.
So declare that He is the Lord of your life today! Forsake your sin and receive Yeshua (Jesus) as your personal Savior!
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Receive the Savior and have your heart renewed to walk in righteousness before the Creator in love.
Amen - So be it!
Sincerely,
Greg Wilson
